Mission: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to oversee the operations of our ferro alloys plant in Raigarh. The Plant Manager will be responsible for manpower planning/ administration, process planning/ administration, facilities planning/ administration, and ensuring cost-effective production.

Roles, Responsibilities &

• Outcomes: Develop and implement effective manpower planning strategies: Ensure optimal staffing levels to meet production targets

• Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of plant personnel. Plan and coordinate all plant processes to achieve efficient production: Ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards

• Collaborate with the production team/ other onsite team to address and resolve operational issues. Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of products

• Manage the maintenance and improvement of plant facilities

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and statutory requirements

• Promote a culture of safety and ensure all safety protocols are followed. Monitor and control production costs to achieve cost-effective operations

• Coordinate with quality control teams to maintain high standards of product quality and control on cost of production

• Implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements

• Provide quality reports to the production department for operational control.



Ensure timely and accurate filling of log sheets and data entry in the ERP system

• Prepare and present regular reports on plant performance, costs, and operational metrics.

Requirements The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metallurgy and substantial experience in the ferro alloys industry, with more than 20 years of expertise. In-depth knowledge of production processes, equipment maintenance, and quality controlStrong leadership and team management skills, with experience in implementing continuous improvement initiatives and fostering a culture of excellence and safety. Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to make informed decisions quickly and effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About us: VA Power and Steels Pvt Ltd, a group company, is a producer of ferro alloys with over 10 years of experience in the industry. Our plant, located near Raigarh, Chattisgarh, has two smelters with a combined capacity of over 16.5 MVA, and is capable of producing approximately 25,000 tonnes of manganese alloys per year. Over 50% of our output is exported through merchant exporters.
