Role Description The Physiotherapist will work on-site in Delhi, India in a full-time capacity, supporting athletes through comprehensive assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services. Daily responsibilities include conducting musculoskeletal and functional assessments, developing individualized physiotherapy plans, and applying evidence-based techniques to prevent and manage sports-related injuries. The role involves collaborating closely with strength and conditioning coaches to align clinical interventions with training programs, monitoring athlete progress, and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
The Physiotherapist will also educate athletes on injury prevention,
proper movement mechanics, recovery strategies, and safe return-to-play protocols, while maintaining accurate clinical documentation. Participation in multidisciplinary meetings, occasional workshops, and ongoing professional development is expected to ensure best practices in sports physiotherapy.
Qualifications
Formal education in physiotherapy (Bachelor’s or Master’s in Physiotherapy or equivalent), with current qualified registration or eligibility to practice in India.
Strong skills in musculoskeletal assessment, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise prescription, and rehabilitation planning for athletes.
Experience or training in sports physiotherapy, strength and conditioning principles, and return-to-sport protocols.
Ability to collaborate effectively with coaches, trainers, and medical professionals to integrate physiotherapy with overall performance programs.
Knowledge of injury prevention strategies, recovery optimization, and basic sports nutrition and mindset support as they relate to physical performance.
Clear, empathetic communication skills and the ability to educate athletes of different ages and competitive levels.
Strong record-keeping skills and familiarity with evidence-based practice, including ongoing learning and application of current research.
Prior experience working with athletic populations or sports teams is highly desirable; relevant certifications in sports physiotherapy or strength and conditioning are an advantage.
