Position : Physics Expert

Type : Short-term Contract

Compensation : $450 per task upon approval

Location : Remote

Commitment : 8 hours per day with 4 hours overlap with PST

Duration : 11 Weeks

Role Responsibilities

- Design and solve challenging Physics problems to evaluate large language models
- Create clear, step-by-step Physics solutions with detailed reasoning
- Collaborate with LLM researchers on evaluation benchmarks and reasoning tasks
- Help define new evaluation benchmarks spanning undergraduate to PhD-level Physics
- Analyze and solve complex Physics problems with a logical and structured approach
- Explain Physics concepts clearly using easy language, visuals, and reasoning

Requirements

- Candidates with a Master s, Ph.D., or currently pursuing a Ph.D./Postdoctoral degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or related fields are encouraged to apply




- Proficiency in at least three of the following tools:
- QuTiP, OQuPy, QuSpin, TenPy, Strawberry Fields, openEMS, ngspice, Quantum ESPRESSO, OpenFOAM, FEniCS/FEniCSx (DOLFINx), WarpX, REBOUND, PYTHIA, Kwant, Elmer FEM, GF180MCU PDK, Sky130 PDK, FreeCAD, Project Chrono, Scilab Xcos, volare, emcee, Icarus Verilog, GTKWave, Verilator, gmsh, Elmer, pyarmadillo, and MeshLab
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Creative and lateral thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote environment
