Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Phlebotomist at Dr Lal PathLabs. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for performing safe and accurate blood collection procedures, including venipuncture and capillary sampling, following established protocols and infection control guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include verifying patient identity, explaining procedures, ensuring proper sample labeling, handling, and documentation, and coordinating timely transport of specimens to designated laboratories.
The role also involves maintaining equipment and supplies, adhering to quality and safety standards,
and using medical terminology and laboratory information systems to support accurate reporting. The Phlebotomist will collaborate with medical and laboratory teams remotely to support high-quality diagnostic services and a positive patient experience.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Laboratory Skills, including specimen handling, labeling, and adherence to quality and safety protocols.
- Candidates should possess Blood Collection skills, such as venipuncture and capillary sampling, with focus on patient comfort and infection control.
- Candidates should possess Medical Assisting skills, including patient preparation, procedure explanation, and qualified interaction with patients and clinical teams.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Medical Terminology and basic Medicine concepts related to diagnostic testing and patient care.
- Relevant qualification such as a diploma or certification in Phlebotomy, Medical Laboratory Technology, or a related allied health field.
- Prior experience in a diagnostic laboratory, hospital, or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, data entry accuracy, and comfort using digital systems for remote coordination.
- Excellent communication skills, a patient-centered approach, and the ability to follow standardized procedures independently.
