The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in residential and commercial painting projects, bringing expertise in surface preparation, color mixing, and application techniques. The role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, or filling in cracks.
- Mix and match paint, stain, and other finishes to achieve the desired color and texture.
- Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Ensure the proper maintenance of painting tools and equipment.
- Follow safety procedures and regulations while working with hazardous materials.
- Inspect and touch up paint jobs to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a painter (8-10 years)
- Knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Robust attention to detail and a good eye for color
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team
- Certification in painting or related field is a plus
