Role Description The Owner will provide strategic leadership and direction to MVJ College of Engineering, ensuring alignment with the mission and long-term vision of Venkatesha Education Society. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, involving close collaboration with the governing body, principal, and senior academic and administrative leaders. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing institutional strategy, academic quality, and resource allocation; guiding policy decisions related to programs, infrastructure, and student outcomes; and supporting initiatives in accreditation, rankings,



and industry partnerships.

The Owner will monitor financial performance, approve major investments, and ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements in higher education. The role also involves representing the institution to external stakeholders, strengthening relationships with industry and community partners, and fostering a culture of ethics, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Proven experience in leading or owning educational institutions or large organizations, with strong strategic planning and governance capabilities.

Background in engineering, management, or higher education administration, with familiarity with Indian technical education regulations and accreditation frameworks.

Demonstrated ability in financial oversight, budget management, and resource optimization for complex institutions.

Strong stakeholder management skills, including working with academic leadership, faculty, staff, industry partners, and regulatory bodies.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills, with the ability to guide long-term institutional development.

Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory educational practices and to promoting academic excellence and student success.

Master’s or doctoral degree in a relevant field is highly preferred; significant senior leadership experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
