Role Description The Owner role at Soham Meritime Pvt Ltd is a full-time, in office position based in Chanditala-II. The Owner is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth coordination between departments, and maintaining compliance with relevant maritime and business regulations. This role involves making key business decisions, managing budgets and financial performance, and supervising staff to ensure operational efficiency and quality standards.

The Owner will cultivate client relationships, negotiate contracts, and identify new business opportunities to drive growth. Additional responsibilities include setting strategic direction, monitoring risk, and implementing policies that support sustainability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to guide teams, delegate responsibilities, and build a collaborative work environment.

Business management and financial acumen, including experience with budgeting,



cost control, and performance tracking.

Operational and organizational skills, with the capacity to oversee day-to-day activities, streamline processes, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Client relationship management and negotiation skills, with experience in developing partnerships, managing stakeholders, and securing contracts.

Strategic planning and decision-making abilities, including risk assessment, problem-solving, and long-term growth planning.

Prior experience in maritime, logistics, transportation, or a related industry is highly beneficial.

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Management, Maritime Studies, or a related field is preferred.

Ability to work on-site in Chanditala-II and commit to full-time responsibilities, with flexibility to address urgent operational needs.
