Role Description The Director will provide strategic leadership for academic, research, and administrative functions, ensuring alignment with JSS AHER’s mission and regulatory standards. This full time on-site role, based in Mysuru, includes overseeing curriculum development, research initiatives, faculty development, and student outcomes across relevant departments or institutions. The Director will manage budgets and resources, foster collaborations with national and international partners, and promote a culture of innovation, ethical practice, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities also include representing the institution in external forums,



strengthening accreditation and ranking efforts, and ensuring effective governance, policy implementation, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

Proven leadership and management skills in higher education or health sciences institutions, including strategic planning, team leadership, and decision-making.

Experience in academic administration, such as program oversight, curriculum development, quality assurance, and policy implementation.

Strong research background with a record of publications, grants, or patents, and the ability to promote interdisciplinary and impactful research.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with faculty, students, regulatory bodies, and external partners.

Demonstrated capability in resource and financial management, including budgeting, infrastructure development, and efficient allocation of resources.

Advanced degree (preferably doctoral) in a relevant discipline such as medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, life sciences, public health, or health systems.

Familiarity with national and international accreditation frameworks, ranking processes, and regulatory guidelines in higher education and health sciences.

Commitment to ethical leadership, diversity, inclusion, and student-centric educational practices.

Experience in building global partnerships, industry linkages, and community engagement initiatives will be an added advantage.
