Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle PL/SQL & APEX Developer with 8–12 years of experience in Oracle application development to join our Product Development Team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oracle Database, PL/SQL, Oracle APEX, and Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS), with a strong focus on designing, developing, and enhancing enterprise-grade products.

This role involves building scalable applications, developing REST APIs, optimizing database performance, and contributing to the ongoing evolution of our award-winning GrantsNow platform.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Oracle APEX.




- Develop complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, views, and database objects.
- Build responsive Oracle APEX applications including dashboards, workflows, interactive reports, forms, and custom components.
- Design, develop, publish, and maintain RESTful APIs using Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS).
- Integrate Oracle applications with external systems using REST APIs, JSON, XML, and web services.
- Optimize SQL and PL/SQL code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues using AWR Reports, ASH Reports, SQL Trace, Execution Plans, and DBMS_XPLAN.
- Implement advanced PL/SQL techniques such as BULK COLLECT, FORALL, Collections, Dynamic SQL, and Query Optimization.
- Design database schemas, data models, and application structures that support business requirements.
- Ensure application security, data integrity, and coding best practices.
- Participate in requirement analysis, solution design, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support activities

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

- 8–12 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Development.
- Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL programming.
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on Oracle APEX development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS).
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Strong knowledge of SQL tuning, query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and performance tuning.
- Experience working with JSON, XML, and API integrations.
- Valuable understanding of Oracle Database architecture and database design principles.
- Experience with version control systems and release management processes.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working on product development projects.
- Exposure to JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and APEX customizations.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Oracle APEX and Oracle Database certifications would be an added advantage.
