Location: Oman Employment Type: Onsite Oman – Full-Time Contract Experience: Minimum 8 Years Contract Duration: 24 Months Open Positions: 2 (One resource will be nominated by the client as per contractual requirements.) About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (Oracle DBA) to manage and support enterprise Oracle database environments, including Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), RAC, SOA, and OBIEE platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Oracle database administration, performance tuning, security, backup and disaster recovery, cloning, patching, and Oracle GoldenGate replication. The role requires ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance of mission-critical Oracle environments.

Key Responsibilities

Oracle Database Administration

● Install, configure, administer, and maintain Oracle Database environments.

● Manage Oracle Database performance, availability, security, and reliability.

● Perform database installation, upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management.

● Monitor database health and proactively resolve performance bottlenecks. Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Administration

● Administer Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environments.

● Perform single-node and multi-node cloning of Oracle EBS instances.

● Support both Shared APPL and Normal APPL architectures.

● Manage Oracle Concurrent Manager services and troubleshoot performance issues.

● Perform ADOP patching, application upgrades, and environment maintenance. High Availability & Replication

● Administer Oracle RAC environments to ensure high availability.

● Manage Oracle GoldenGate replication for real-time data synchronization.

● Configure and support Data Guard environments where applicable.

● Perform database failover and disaster recovery activities. Security & Compliance

● Implement Oracle Advanced Security features, including:

○ Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)

○ Oracle Database Vault

○ Data Redaction

○ Enterprise User Security

● Apply Oracle Critical Patch Updates (CPU) and security patches.

● Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and database best practices. Backup & Disaster Recovery





● Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

● Perform backup validation and recovery testing.

● Ensure business continuity through disaster recovery planning and regular testing.

● Manage RMAN backup configurations and recovery procedures.

Performance

Monitoring & Optimization

● Monitor database performance, resource utilization, and storage growth.

● Perform SQL tuning, index optimization, and database performance tuning.

● Analyze AWR, ASH, ADDM reports, and execution plans.

● Recommend and implement performance improvements. Middleware & Application Support

● Support Oracle SOA Suite and Oracle OBIEE environments.

● Troubleshoot application and database integration issues.

● Work closely with application teams to resolve Oracle application-related incidents.

● Support production deployments and project implementations. Documentation & Collaboration

● Maintain accurate documentation, including database configurations, cloning procedures, runbooks, SOPs, and operational guidelines.

● Document database changes in accordance with change management procedures.

● Collaborate with infrastructure, storage, application, and network teams to deliver integrated enterprise solutions.

● Coordinate with Oracle Support for product issues and service requests.

Required Qualifications

● Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

● Minimum 8 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator in enterprise environments.

● Strong hands-on experience with:

○ Oracle Database Administration

○ Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)

○ Oracle RAC

○ Oracle SOA Suite

○ Oracle OBIEE

○ Oracle GoldenGate

○ Oracle RMAN

○ Oracle Advanced Security

● Experience with Oracle cloning, patching, upgrades,



and migrations.

● Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and performance tuning skills.

● Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
