About the role

Betterway is an outcome-focused, full-stack chronic care platform built on evidence-based Ayurved and enabled by technology. We operate multi-specialty Ayurved care centers- OPD and IPD - across Delhi NCR, with expert doctors and paramedics, and we own the patient journey end to end: diagnosis, panchakarma, medicine, and diet. Operations is central to this promise. The quality, consistency, and compliance of what happens at our centers every day is what the brand stands on.

The Operations Intern is the go-to person in Operations at Betterway . Reporting to the COO, this role carries responsibility across the operational functions of the company - center operations, compliance, inventory, vendor management, and operational reporting. This is a high-ownership role. The expectation is not task execution alone, but ownership of outcomes : identifying issues before they escalate, closing loops without follow-up, and raising the standard of how operations run.

Center operations and Patient fulfillment :

Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across OPD and IPD session delivery, patient experience, staffing coverage, and escalation resolution. Identify operational gaps, implement corrective processes, and prevent recurrence.

Compliance & Statutory Responsibility:

Own compliance readiness across centers - accreditation programs, statutory and regulatory requirements, and audit preparedness. Maintain trackers, drive closures with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure the organisation remains compliant at all times.

Facility & Inventory Management:

Manage vendor partnerships and contracts with a focus on quality and cost-effectiveness. Oversee facility upkeep across premises. Own pharmacy and consumables inventory, asset registers, and stock discipline on our inventory systems.

Operational reporting system:

Own operational reporting for leadership review - accurate, timely, and decision-ready. Track issue and query closure across teams, and support the company's internal operational monitoring and alerting systems. Strong proficiency in spreadsheets is essential; working knowledge of SQL is an advantage.

Financial Discipline:

Manage petty cash, OPEX tracking, and expense categorisation across centers. Monitor cost patterns and flag leakage or anomalies proactively.

What we desire?

- Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- Prior experience in data handling, operations, coordination, or other process-driven roles is preferred would be a plus.
- Basic SQL proficiency is a strong advantage. (good to have)
- Prior internship in operations, healthcare, or a startup environment (positive to have)
