About the Role:

The Operations Head will be responsible for leading end-to-end manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production planning, quality assurance, supplier development, customer satisfaction, and continuous process improvement. The role requires close coordination with Production, Design, Quality, Purchase, Stores, Marketing, HR, and Administration to achieve business objectives, timely deliveries, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer & Operations Management:

- Coordinate with customers for technical discussions in collaboration with the Design team.
- Provide regular production and delivery updates to the Marketing team.
- Review project progress with customers and ensure timely order execution.
- Handle customer complaints effectively by coordinating with internal teams and implementing corrective actions.

Production Management

- Plan, monitor, and optimize machine assembly and production processes.
- Reduce manufacturing cycle time through continuous process improvements.
- Ensure production tracking is updated daily, and reports are submitted on time.
- Deliver all orders within committed lead times while minimizing overtime.
- Coordinate with Marketing to ensure production schedules align with customer delivery commitments.

Quality Management

- Maintain high-quality standards for in-house manufacturing and supplier- produced components.
- Develop and implement inspection standards, quality documentation, and pre- dispatch checklists.
- Conduct supplier for quality audits and ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Analyze production deviations, implement corrective actions, and maintain quality records for each customer.
- Train service engineers and technical staff on quality and customer service procedures.

Vendor & Supply Chain Management





- Develop and evaluate suppliers based on quality, delivery, cost, and technical capability.
- Ensure suppliers follow the latest engineering drawings and quality standards.
- Improve procurement efficiency by optimizing supplier performance and reducing purchasing costs.
- Ensure that BOM, TVC, and inventory records are accurate and periodically updated.
- Optimize transportation planning to reduce logistics costs.

Product Development

- Ensure new product development activities are completed within the planned timelines.
- Coordinate with Design to release accurate BOMs and updated drawings.
- Maintain proper documentation for product development, costing, and engineering changes.

Team Management

- Ensure adequate availability of skilled and unskilled manpower.
- Develop employee skills through technical, quality, ERP, and cross-functional training.
- Promote multi-skilled workforce development to improve operational flexibility and productivity.

Administration & Compliance

- Ensure that ERP is effectively utilized across operations.
- Coordinate with IT and Administration for smooth functioning of systems, data backup, utilities, and facility maintenance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and operational reliability.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline (master's degree preferred).
- 7–10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in Power Press, Industrial Machinery, Heavy Engineering, or Automotive industries.
- Proven experience in production planning, quality management, supplier development, and team leadership.
