Role Description This is a remote, contract role for an Online Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi & Kathak Dance Tutor. The tutor will conduct live online classes, teaching students the fundamentals and advanced techniques of Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, and Kathak in a structured and engaging manner.

Day-to-day tasks include planning lesson content, designing practice routines, demonstrating choreography and classical techniques, and providing individual feedback to learners. The role also involves assessing student progress, maintaining attendance and performance records, and adapting teaching methods to suit varied age groups and skill levels.



The tutor will collaborate with the company’s support team to schedule classes, troubleshoot basic technical issues related to online sessions, and ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

- Strong communication skills to clearly explain techniques, provide feedback, and engage with students in an online setting.
- Analytical skills and research abilities to design effective lesson plans, assess student progress, and incorporate relevant classical dance theory.
- Writing skills to prepare class materials, practice notes, and concise performance feedback for learners.
- Training and instructional skills to deliver structured lessons, demonstrate movements safely, and adapt teaching styles for different learning needs.
- Formal training and demonstrated proficiency in Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, and Kathak, with prior teaching or performance experience.
- Comfort with online teaching platforms, basic digital tools, and remote collaboration.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and a gender-neutral, inclusive approach in all interactions.
- Availability to work flexible hours to accommodate different time zones and learner schedules.
