Should possess a good domain understanding of OMS including relating business needs to technical outcomes.
Should have deep expertize in both Order Processing as well as Inventory Management and have all the deep knowledge needed for implementing Omni Channel Retail for customers leveraging OMS capabilities starting from eComm TOF use journey.
Deep knowledge of integrations via a MW enterprise is sought after primarily since OMS sits as the heart of retail landscape with integrations across enterprises. Knowledge of methodologies used for such integrations, packages and frameworks etc hold great importance.
Knowledge of event driven architecture and reactive microservices programming will be an added advantage.
Should be aware about general cloud services like API Gateways, Serverless Functions, Message Broker services like Kafka
Good knowledge of API concepts, technologies such as REST, JSON, GraphQL and Swagger
Experience working with API’s and third-party systems, including Payment gateway, Fraud check, Address Validations, Tax services, etc.
Recommend someone with proper cloud concepts and services knowledge with preference for Azure.
Solid knowledge of latest web technologies, CI/CD concepts etc.
Solid experience with in-memory and distributed caching systems such as Redis.
Good Retail domain knowledge.
Proficient in Agile methodologies and JIRA.
Debug production issues on the IBM Sterling OMS application and associated Spring Boot microservices.
Experience in Java programming and Java-based framework Spring/Spring Boot.
Strong database knowledge and experience in SQL queries.
Strong knowledge of Monitoring and alerting tools like Splunk, Grafana etc.
Excellent technical problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Knowledge of ecommerce, order management, and enterprise application integration will be beneficial.
Experience using Claude Code or equivalent AI-assisted coding tools in IDE environments such as Visual Studio Code.
Knowledge of AI Agents, Model Context Protocol (MCP) for connecting AI agents to enterprise data and services.
