Roles and responsibilities:

For Frontend Lead

- NEXT/React + TypeScript (7+ years frontend, 4+ years React) Advanced hooks, state management, rendering performance optimisation, and typed component APIs consumed across multiple teams.

- Micro-frontend architecture with Module Federation Hands-on experience building or consuming runtime remote MFEs against a shell host, including shared dependency management, versioning strategy, and cross-MFE routing and state boundaries.

- Design-system-driven development Proven track record building against an enterprise design language system (Symphony DLS experience ideal): token-based theming, component library governance, and extending a shared DLS rather than one-off styling.

- GraphQL + contract-first consumption Fluency querying GraphQL BFFs, typed client generation from OpenAPI/GraphQL schemas, and working a spec-first FEBE workflow including contract-based mocking.

- Frontend security — XSS/CSRF prevention, Content Security Policy configuration, secure OIDC/PKCE flows in browser and WebView contexts, secure token storage practices, dependency vulnerability management (npm audit/Snyk), and safe JS-to-native bridge design.





- Kubernetes-aware frontend delivery — Containerising and deploying SPAs/MFEs to AKS or equivalent (Nginx/Node serving), ingress and environment-specific config injection at deploy time, CDN/caching strategy for MFE remotes, and independent troubleshooting of pod logs and pipeline failures.

For Backend Lead

- Node.js + TypeScript (7+ years backend, 3+ years TypeScript) — Proven production experience building and operating Node.js services (Fastify strongly preferred; Express/NestJS considered), with strict typing, generics, and shared type packages across repos.

- Domain-Driven Design in practice — Demonstrable experience structuring services around bounded contexts and aggregates, and implementing Strategy/Registry (or equivalent) patterns to support market-specific variants of shared domain logic.

- API contract-first delivery — Hands-on OpenAPI-driven development: spec as source of truth, code generation, and versioned contract packages (GitHub Packages/npm).

Strong

GraphQL schema design and resolver implementation over NoSQL stores.

- Azure Cosmos DB (or equivalent NoSQL) data modelling — Container and partition key design, RU optimisation, and query patterns for read-heavy dashboard workloads. Familiarity with consuming data from Databricks/Delta Lake pipelines is a strong plus.

- Application & API security — OIDC/OAuth2 with PKCE (PingID or similar enterprise IdP), secure token handling, OWASP API Top 10 mitigation, secrets management (Azure Key Vault), input validation and rate limiting at the BFF layer, and PII handling in a regulated insurance/banking environment.

- Kubernetes & containerised delivery — Docker and AKS (or equivalent Kubernetes) in production: Helm charts/manifests, resource limits, health probes, autoscaling (HPA), config and secret injection, pod-level debugging, and CI/CD integration (GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps).
