Technical Skill Requirements : Enterprise networking with robust expertise in Routing & Switching, Firewalls, VPN, LAN/WAN Operations, Network Monitoring, Patch Management, and Incident Management. Hands-on experience supporting Cisco-based enterprise infrastructure with a strong focus on network availability, security, operational excellence, and timely incident resolution.

Role and Responsibilities

Provide L2 operational support for enterprise network infrastructure including Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Wireless Controllers, VPNs, and Load Balancers.

Perform day-to-day incident resolution by troubleshooting network connectivity, routing, switching, firewall, VPN, and wireless-related issues within defined SLAs.

Implement standard firewall and router rule changes in accordance with approved change management procedures.

Execute network configuration activities including VLAN creation, port configuration, ACL implementation, NAT changes, VPN configuration, and onboarding of new network devices.

Perform executive patch management activities including firmware upgrades, OS upgrades, configuration backups, and compliance verification for network infrastructure.

Monitor enterprise network health using tools such as SolarWinds, Logic Monitor, Cisco DNA Center, NetFlow, and Wireshark.

Investigate and resolve network performance issues including latency, packet loss, interface errors, link failures, and bandwidth utilization.

Perform packet capture, log analysis, interface diagnostics, and root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring network incidents.

Configure and maintain enterprise routing, switching, firewall, and wireless infrastructure while ensuring adherence to security standards.

Maintain network documentation including SOPs, Runbooks, Knowledge Base articles, configuration records, and operational procedures.





Participate in planned maintenance, change windows, and on-call production support activities.

Coordinate with Senior Network Engineers (L3), Security teams, Infrastructure teams, and external vendors for issue resolution and project execution.

Support continuous operational improvements by identifying recurring issues and recommending process or infrastructure enhancements.

Ensure network security, stability, and high availability across enterprise environments.

Required Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or an equivalent discipline.

4–9 years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure in an L2 Network Operations role.

Strong hands-on experience with:

· Cisco Routing & Switching

· Enterprise LAN/WAN Technologies

· TCP/IP Networking

· VLAN, STP, RSTP

· OSPF and BGP (basic troubleshooting)

· NAT and VPN (IPSec/SSL)

Experience with enterprise firewalls including:

Palo Alto

Cisco Firepower

Fortinet

Hands-on experience implementing:

Standard Firewall Rule Changes

Router Configuration Changes

ACL Management

Port Configuration

VLAN Creation

Experience performing firmware upgrades, patch management, configuration backup, and compliance verification.

Hands-on experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools including:

SolarWinds

LogicMonitor

Cisco DNA Center

Wireshark

NetFlow

Familiarity with Cisco and Aruba networking devices.

Basic knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.

Exposure to Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting for network automation is preferred.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a global enterprise environment.
