Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure MySQL database solutions for enterprise applications.
- Design logical and physical database models based on business and application requirements.
- Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and scheduled events.
- Optimize SQL queries and database objects for maximum performance and efficiency.
- Perform database performance tuning, indexing strategies, query optimization, and execution plan analysis.
- Design and optimize database schemas to support high-volume transactional systems.
- Collaborate closely with Java, .NET, and Full Stack development teams for seamless database integration.
- Design, implement, and maintain replication, partitioning, and high availability solutions.
- Manage database versioning, schema migrations, and release deployments.
- Develop ETL processes and data migration strategies between multiple database environments.
- Implement database security, encryption, auditing, and access control policies.
- Perform database backup, recovery, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity activities.
- Monitor database health, identify bottlenecks, and proactively resolve performance issues.
- Troubleshoot production database issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Work with AWS database services including Amazon RDS and Aurora MySQL.
- Automate routine database administration and deployment activities using Shell or Python scripting.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate database deployments into CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security, governance,



and data quality standards.
- Conduct database code reviews and enforce development best practices.
- Mentor junior database engineers and contribute to technical decision-making.
- Stay updated with emerging database technologies, cloud services, and industry best practices.

Required Technical Skills:

- Strong expertise in MySQL 8.x database development.

- Familiarity with Liquibase or Flyway for database version control.

- Financial Services or Insurance domain experience is preferred.
