7 years of overall experience in information security, cloud security, application security, or security architecture, with minimum 4 years of hands-on Microsoft Azure security architecture experience. Candidates with solid practical Azure security, application security, and API security experience may be considered based on competency.

Required Skills and Experience

- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure security architecture and cloud security design.
- Knowledge of Entra ID, Azure RBAC, Azure Key Vault, Azure Firewall, Azure WAF, Application Gateway, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, Private Link, Azure SQL, and secure networking controls.
- Mandatory API security experience, including REST APIs, API gateways, OAuth, OpenID Connect, JWT, token security, rate limiting, and protection against API abuse.
- Understanding of secure application design, secure coding principles, OWASP Top 10, and OWASP API Security Top 10.
- Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipeline security, infrastructure as code security, vulnerability remediation, and secure deployment practices.




- Ability to conduct threat modeling, security design reviews, architecture assessments, and technical risk reviews.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage architects, developers, engineers, project teams, compliance teams, and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
- CISSP, CCSP, CSSLP, CISM, or equivalent certification.

Experience supporting regulated environments involving sensitive personal, healthcare, financial, or confidential business data, and familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC 2, HITRUST, HIPAA, GDPR, NIST CSF, or CIS Controls is preferred
