Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Coder with 1-5 years of experience in the job market of India to join our team as an Ancillary/EM/ED Medical Coder. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of medical terminology and coding systems, as well as experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Job Responsibilities:

For Ancillary Services Coding:

- Assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for ancillary services such as diagnostic testing (labs, radiology), physical therapy, DME (Durable Medical Equipment), and outpatient services.
- Ensure coding accuracy for diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, and rehabilitation services.
- Follow payer-specific guidelines and ensure accurate billing and reimbursement.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure complete and accurate documentation.

For EM (Evaluation & Management) Coding:

- Assign CPT codes for E/M services including inpatient, outpatient, physician consultations, and hospital visits.
- Evaluate documentation to select appropriate E/M service levels based on the AMA guidelines.
- Ensure accurate coding for both new and established patient visits.




- Stay current with 2024 AMA E/M guidelines and implement them for proper coding.

For ED (Emergency Department) Coding:

- Review and code ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS for Emergency Department visits and procedures.
- Ensure accurate application of critical care, observation, and trauma care coding.
- Apply appropriate E/M levels based on detailed documentation and support medical necessity.
- Remain updated with Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance requirements related to ED coding.

Key Requirements:

- Certification: CPC, CCS, CIC, or equivalent coding credential (Preferred). Non-certified candidates are welcome to apply.
- Experience: 1+ years in Ancillary, EM, or ED Coding (Trainee positions available for freshers).
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding and coding guidelines for Ancillary, EM, and ED services.
- Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, 3M, etc.
- Understanding of coding compliance, billing procedures, and medical necessity requirements.
- Ability to review medical documentation for accurate coding and coding level determination.
