- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for flow battery systems, including battery stacks, electrolyte tanks, piping networks, pumps, manifolds, and enclosures.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation using tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Perform engineering calculations, basic structural FEA (Finite Element Analysis), and tolerance analysis to validate designs.
- Collaborate with electrical, Automation, manufacturing, and systems engineering teams to integrate mechanical solutions into complete energy storage systems.
- Support prototype development, testing, validation, and product qualification activities.
- Select appropriate materials considering chemical compatibility, corrosion resistance, thermal performance, and cost.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and implement design improvements based on testing and field performance data.
- Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) requirements are met.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry regulations,
and customer specifications.

Primary Skills
- Experience in New Product Development with proven skill in concept generation, Design for Manufacturing and DFA.
- Hydraulic System Design /Component Selection experience.
- Excellent knowledge in Sheet-metal /Plastic Part Design.
- Knowledge of Weldments & Structures
- Proficient in CAD, both in 3D modelling and 2D Drafting using SolidWorks and Autocad.
- Knowledge of Drawing and Drafting Standards (ISO/ASME).
- Knowledge in basic Engineering calculations.
- GD&T; and Tolerance Stack-up Analysis.
- Experience in Electronics/Electrical Hardware Packaging.
- Valuable communication and Interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with cross functional teams.
Secondary /Desired Skills
- Customer/onsite team independent handling experience
- Ability to discharge duties with minimum guidance/supervision.
