We're Hiring | Mechanical CAD Design Engineer (3–5 Years)

Amara Raja Design Alpha is looking for a passionate Mechanical CAD Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Kochi. Qualification:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Automotive/Industrial Engineering or Diploma with higher no. of hands-on experience

03-05 years of Relevant experience in mechanical product design and development, preferably with power connectors or related electromechanical products.

Expertise with CAD software: Creo (mandatory). >8/10

Expertise in product design methodologies: GD&T;, DFM, DFMEA, statistical tolerance stack analysis.

Robust knowledge of manufacturing processes including injection molding, stamping, plating, molding, and assembly. (mandatory)

Strong knowledge of DFM and DFA (preferred)

Experience in designing latching mechanisms, sealing mechanisms, and plastic injection molded parts.

Experience with PLM systems (Windchill).

Experience in product testing, validation processes,



and qualification protocols (preferred)

Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively present technical information to Product engineers and Engineering manager

Knowledge of global industry standards and regulatory certifications (e.g., UL, IEC, EIA)

Good communication and speaking in English

Responsibilities

Concept design and detailed design of power connectors, cable assemblies products, and related accessories.

Support defining and executing verification and product qualification test plans.

Support technical reviews, including Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA), Tolerance Stack-ups, Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and design validation

Create 3D models/Assembly and detailed manufacturing drawings (with GD&T;,Tolerances,standards) within stipulated timeline
