For over 35 years, we have been a leading industrial producer of L-Menthol, using our core technology, asymmetric synthesis.

This technology enables us to produce unique, novel, and nature-identical aroma ingredients, and in addition, to manufacture pharmaceutical intermediates, functional materials, and other fine chemicals.

Takasago Group maintains offices, production sites, and R&D; centers in twenty-seven countries and regions.

Responsibilities

- Overall responsible for the raw material & packaging sourcing activities
- Lead and motivate the sourcing team to ensure raw materials & packaging are sourced competitively, with the main focus on reducing costs or minimising price increases
- Analyse & understand raw material & packaging supplier supply chains & inputs to enable aggressive negotiations, anticipation of future price changes & realistic standard costs
- Strategic procurement in the regional perspective, with the major emphasis on suppliers




- Conduct regular supplier audits to determine capabilities & suitability as suppliers to Takasago International
- Work closely with, contribute to & be an important part of the Takasago global purchasing team
- Provide regular market updates to Perfumers/Flavourists & Takasago global purchasing team based on supplier information
- Contract negotiations with suppliers for volume pricing & periodic cost reduction review
- Work closely with other Supply Chain departments, RA & R&D; to enhance material management process to increase overall operational efficiency, increase inventory turnover & reduce obsolete materials
- Review and improve vendor development and evaluation program
- Continuously evaluate long term contracts for optimum price, service level, lead time, etc.
- Responsible for reviewing & updating standard costs for R&D; creation
- Set & report on key performance measurement and ensure performance improvement programs are implemented

Qualifications

- Strong Negotiation Skills
- Possess excellent Interpersonal and communication skills.
- Positive Knowledge of MRP, MPS Software
- Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office Application Software
- Good Knowledge of supplier management
- Strong Leadership skills
- At least 5 years experience in purchasing and sourcing with managerial experience
