Your Current Role: Challenging and Future Oriented
- Close collaboration with engineering, development, system suppliers, validation, assessors/authorities to ensure that work is performed efficiently.
- Definition of the safety assurance activities that will take place during the project life-cycle.
- Safety Case demonstration based on EN50129 and system life cycles activities according to EN50126.
- Documentation for demonstration of overall system performance and agreed safety acceptance criteria.
- Identification and management of hazards and assessment of the associated risks (Hazard Log management).
- Conduction of Safety Analyses.
- Production of the System Safety Plan and System Safety Case, Safety Reports and other safety documents like Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), System/Sub-System Hazard Analysis (SHA/SSHA), Interface Hazard Analysis (IHA), Operational & Support Hazard Analysis (OSHA).
- Conduction of RAM Analyses.
- RAM Plan, RAM Analysis and Prediction, De-rating/stress Analysis, Reliability Block Diagram (RBD), Failure Modes Effects & Criticality Analysis (FMEA/FMECA), Quantitative Risk Assessment,
RAM Demonstration, FRACAS analysis, Spare calculation.
- Implementation of quality, configuration, and documentation management directives applicable.
- Work with Independent Safety Assessor (ISA) concerning safety aspects.
- Support project manager and approval manager to define approval strategies for the project.
- Review and validate Verification and Validation process and T&C; activities from a Safety perspective.
- Participation in Safety Reviews led by Quality team.
- Conduction of HAZID/HAZOP Workshops, Technical Safety Report, Safety Related Application Condition documents.
- Review for alignment to RAMS requirements, e.g., review of system architecture, SRS, other project documents.
Qualifications
- Degree (Master/Bachelor) in technical engineering, preferably in electrical/electronics engineering with 8 to 14 years of relevant experience.
- Technical knowledge on main subsystems of a railway turnkey project.
- Experience in reading and understanding technical requirements.
- Knowledge on standards associated with CEN EN50128, 50129, 50126.
- Practitioner of ALARP principle.
- Knowledge on MIL-HDBK-217 FN2/TELCORDIA/SN29500 or similar standards.
- Knowledge on MIL-STD-1629A, RDSO, UNISIG, ERA_ERTMS standards.
- Experience with Reliability Analysis tools like ZUSIM, Isograph Reliability Workbench, ReliaSoft, Item Toolkit, Relex or similar tools.
- Familiar with Configuration tools like DOORS, ClearQuest, Livelink, Citrix Application, SAP.
- Willing to work as team member in international projects.
