We are seeking an experienced Manager - Quality Assurance (Dairy Raw Materials) to lead quality assurance, vendor development, and food safety initiatives for dairy raw materials, including Skimmed Milk Powder (SMP), Whey Powder, and Butter.

Responsibilities

- Lead vendor development activities by identifying, evaluating, and onboarding dairy manufacturing partners.
- Conduct quality and food safety audits to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Monitor end-to-end production processes for SMP, Whey Powder, and Butter to maintain consistent product quality.
- Coordinate production planning, on-site quality inspections, and raw material testing with manufacturing partners.
- Ensure effective raw milk quality assessment and selection based on applicable quality standards.
- Develop and implement quality control measures to minimize raw material rejections and improve product handling, packaging, logistics, and storage.
- Monitor production during commodity conversion at vendor manufacturing sites and ensure adherence to quality specifications.
- Track inventory levels, reorder points, and material variance using BI tools while supporting inventory optimization.




- Resolve inventory-related issues and identify cost-saving opportunities across the supply chain.
- Prepare and present quality performance reports, vendor reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives to management.

Requirements

- B.Tech in Food Technology or Dairy Technology.
- 15 years of experience in quality assurance, production, or both within dairy manufacturing.
- Solid experience in handling Skimmed Milk Powder (SMP), Whey Powder, and Butter production and quality systems.
- Sound knowledge of raw milk reception, dairy processing, laboratory testing, and production equipment.
- Experience in vendor development, quality audits, food safety, and supplier quality management.
- Familiarity with inventory management, materials management, and procurement practices is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work from vendor manufacturing locations.
