Role & responsibilities :

The Digital Initiatives and IT Manager will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and upkeep of all IT and digital systems across the plant, including core network and server infrastructure, biometric access and attendance systems, and the IT-facing aspects of the plant's DCS (Distributed Control System). This role requires a robust technical background and proven experience in managing plant-level IT and digital infrastructure to ensure system uptime, data security, and support for the plant's ongoing digitalization roadmap.

- Lead the planning, deployment, and maintenance of all IT infrastructure at the plant, including servers, network, storage, endpoints, and Wi-Fi coverage.
- Own and maintain the biometric attendance and access control systems, ensuring accurate data capture and seamless integration with HR and payroll systems.
- Support and maintain the IT-facing layer of the plant's DCS and other OT systems, coordinating with Engineering/Instrumentation teams on system availability, patching, and cybersecurity of IT-OT integration points.
- Support and integrate digital Quality Assurance/Quality Control systems (e.g., LIMSLaboratory Information Management Systems, SAP QM)



with plant DCS/ERP to automate sample tracking, Certificate of Analysis (CoA) generation, and real-time batch compliance reporting.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives across the plant, identifying opportunities for process digitization, automation, and productivity improvement.
- Manage ERP/SAP systems at the plant level, including user access management, data integrity, and issue resolution in coordination with corporate IT.
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity protocols, including firewalls, antivirus, endpoint protection, and data backup and recovery systems.
- Manage IT vendor relationships, AMC contracts, and procurement of hardware, software, and digital tools.
- Provide IT helpdesk support to all plant users and ensure timely resolution of hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Maintain documentation of network architecture, system configurations, and IT SOPs.
- Ensure IT systems comply with data privacy, IT governance, and food-safety-related traceability requirements.
