Job Summary

The Loading and Unloading Supervisor is responsible for supervising the secure, efficient, and timely loading and unloading of coal, washed coal, rejects, and related materials in the coal washery. The role includes manpower supervision, coordination with transporters, maintaining safety standards, monitoring equipment usage, and ensuring accurate dispatch records.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Supervision

- Supervise loading and unloading activities of raw coal, washed coal, middlings, and rejects.
- Ensure proper placement and movement of trucks, tippers, and wagons.
- Coordinate with plant operators, dispatch teams, and transport contractors.
- Monitor material handling equipment such as pay loaders, conveyors, and hoppers.
- Ensure smooth dispatch operations as per daily production targets.

Safety & Compliance

- Enforce safety procedures and PPE usage at loading/unloading points.
- Prevent overloading, spillage, and unsafe vehicle movement.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for workers and drivers.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and mining regulations.

Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain loading/unloading records, vehicle logs, weighbridge data, and dispatch reports.
- Verify challans, invoices, gate passes,



and transport documents.
- Report operational delays, accidents, or equipment breakdowns to management.
- Coordinate with weighbridge operators for accurate quantity records.

Team Management

- Supervise loaders, helpers, drivers, and contract labor.
- Allocate duties and shifts for manpower.
- Monitor attendance and discipline of workers.
- Train workers on operational and safety procedures.

Equipment & Yard Management

- Ensure proper housekeeping in loading/unloading areas.
- Coordinate maintenance requirements for loaders and handling equipment.
- Monitor stockpile management and minimize material loss.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma / ITI / Graduate preferred.
- Experience in coal washery, mining, logistics, or material handling operations.
- Knowledge of loading operations, weighbridge systems, and dispatch procedures.
- Basic computer knowledge for reporting and documentation.

Experience

- Typically 3–8 years of experience in coal handling, washery operations, mining, or logistics supervision.
