Designation: Legal Manager – Insolvency & Stressed Assets

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Legal Manager – Insolvency & Stressed Assets to lead legal matters related to insolvency, debt recovery, and stressed asset resolution. The ideal candidate will possess solid expertise in SARFAESI Act, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code (IBC), Companies Act, and debt recovery litigation, with hands-on experience representing or coordinating matters before DRT, NCLT, and other judicial forums. This role requires excellent litigation management, legal drafting, and stakeholder coordination skills to support complex restructuring and recovery assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the complete lifecycle of proceedings under the SARFAESI Act and Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code (IBC) while ensuring compliance with statutory timelines.
- Draft, review, and respond to legal notices, including handling representations under Section 13(3A) of the SARFAESI Act.
- Coordinate and manage proceedings before Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT), National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), and appellate authorities.
- Identify procedural lapses and develop legal strategies to safeguard client interests, including obtaining interim reliefs and stay orders where applicable.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, external legal counsel, insolvency professionals, and financial institutions for effective case management.
- Draft and review petitions, affidavits, replies,



legal opinions, agreements, and other legal documentation.
- Support debt restructuring, stressed asset resolution, and One-Time Settlement (OTS) assignments from a legal perspective.
- Advise clients on legal risks, compliance requirements, and litigation strategies related to insolvency and debt recovery.
- Implement MSME protection strategies in accordance with the latest judicial precedents and Supreme Court guidelines.
- Monitor developments in insolvency laws, banking regulations, and legal precedents to ensure best practices and regulatory compliance.

Key Requirements:

- LL.B. or LL.M. from a reputed university or top-tier law school.
- 5 years of experience in Insolvency Law, SARFAESI, Debt Recovery Litigation, or Banking & Finance Law.
- Strong knowledge of the SARFAESI Act, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code (IBC), Companies Act, DRT Act, and related banking laws.
- Proven experience handling litigation before DRT, NCLT, High Courts, or other judicial forums.
- Expertise in legal drafting, petitions, notices, pleadings, and recovery proceedings.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and legal advisory skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and coordination with advocates, insolvency professionals, and financial institutions.
- Ability to manage multiple legal matters independently while working under strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
