About the Role We are seeking an experienced Mobile Automation Engineer with strong expertise in mobile automation using Appium and Java to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for Android and iOS applications in an Agile setting. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in software testing and test automation. Success in this role requires excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable automation frameworks for Android and iOS applications
- Develop and maintain mobile automation tests using Appium and Java
- Work in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality automation solutions
- Collaborate with teams to identify and prioritize automation opportunities
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
- Analyze and troubleshoot automation test failures
- Communicate automation test results and recommendations to stakeholders
- Maintain and update automation frameworks to ensure compatibility with changing application requirements
- Ensure adherence to Agile/Scrum methodologies and principles
Requirements
- Develop and maintain mobile automation tests using Appium
- Utilize strong programming skills in Java to develop automation frameworks
- Apply experience with TestNG or JUnit to develop and execute automation tests
- Leverage knowledge of Selenium WebDriver to enhance automation capabilities
- Utilize experience with Git and Maven/Gradle to manage automation codebases
- Apply hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins to deliver automation solutions
- Demonstrate good understanding of API testing concepts to develop comprehensive automation tests
- Apply familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies to collaborate with teams
Good to Have
- Gain experience with Android and iOS automation to expand automation capabilities
- Leverage exposure to cloud-based device platforms such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs to enhance automation testing
- Apply knowledge of BDD frameworks such as Cucumber to develop behavior-driven automation tests
- Utilize experience with SQL and database validation to develop comprehensive automation tests
