About the Role: The Lead, Photography will oversee photography creative direction, production, and operations across the Roundglass ecosystem. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality visual storytelling, managing photography workflows, and leading a small team of photographers and photo editors. The position reports to the Senior Lead, Visual Design.
What You’ll Do: Visual Storytelling - Partner with photographers, photo editors, designers, and marketing teams to create compelling visual stories that support Roundglass initiatives.
- Develop and maintain a consistent visual style across all photography projects.
- Identify opportunities to leverage both existing and current photography assets.
Photography
Production - Lead photography projects from planning through final delivery.
- Scout locations, create shot lists, and determine camera and lighting requirements.
- Ensure photo shoots are executed efficiently and meet creative expectations. Post-Production - Collaborate closely with photo editors to ensure images are retouched and finalized to high-quality standards.
- Maintain consistency in editing, color, and overall visual presentation.
Asset
Management & Archiving - Oversee the organization, tagging, and archiving of photography assets.
- Work with relevant teams to ensure assets are easily accessible and properly maintained.
Equipment
Management - Manage photography equipment inventory and maintenance.
- Coordinate equipment rentals when needed and recommend new purchases. Team Leadership - Lead and mentor a small team of photographers and photo editors.
- Provide guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative and creative team environment.
Creative
Excellence - Stay current on photography trends, techniques, and industry best practices.
- Bring a modern visual aesthetic and creative perspective to all projects.
Skills & Qualifications: Qualifications - Strong portfolio demonstrating commercial, corporate, editorial, or visual storytelling photography.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, Figma, Brandfolder (or similar DAM platforms), and photography workflows.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
Education & Experience - Degree in Photography, Fine Arts, Visual Communications, or a related field, or equivalent skilled experience.
- 8+ years of professional experience in photography, photo editing, or Photo Production.
- Previous experience leading photography teams preferred.
