In line with our expansion, we are in search of a Lead/Manager - Field Quality & Reliability Engineering who can contribute effectively to our developing team. We have been at the forefront of product development in Sensing, Control, Connectivity and Intelligence products in India and abroad.

Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. The role involves leading field quality and reliability initiatives for Synedyne products across automotive, off-road, defense, and infrastructure applications.

Responsibilities include monitoring field performance data, identifying recurring issues, driving root cause and failure analysis, and coordinating corrective and preventive actions with design, manufacturing, and supplier teams. The role also requires defining and implementing reliability test plans, establishing quality metrics, and ensuring product compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. The Lead/Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, engage with customers on field quality topics, prepare technical reports and dashboards, and mentor team members in reliability and quality best practices.

Key Responsibilities/functions:

Customer Field Issue Management

1. Receive and review customer complaints
2. Conduct and participate in periodic reviews with Customer Quality
3. Present the reports and be the single point of contact with Customer Quality
4. Track and monitor the field failure PPM and present the reports to the customer and management

Failure Analysis

1. Preliminary analysis of the field failures and present the Interim Containment Action
2. Root Cause Analysis of the failed parts and co-ordinating with Process Quality, Engineering and Supplier Quality to ensure the RCA is closed
3. Lead the RCA with 7QC tools,



along with the CFT for teardown analysis, X-ray analysis, etc.
4. Prepare the 8D report and present to the customer quality

Countermeasure Development

1. Work with the process quality and engineering to develop the countermeasures and monitor the implementation and effectiveness monitoring
2. Present the 8D report to the customer

Warranty Management

1. Track and monitor the warranty returned products
2. Calculate the COPQ and present to the management
3. Defend on behalf of the company to ensure the warranty debits are minimized or avoided

Reliability Engineering

1. Lead the reliability engineering activities during the new product development and also on-going product improvements
2. Lead and own the DFMEA process involving the CFT
3. Document and review of Lessons Learnt closing the loop with 8D reports and defect analysis, and DFMEA
4. Review of validation test reports and sign off the product release into series production

Team Management

1. Lead and manage the team of Reliability Engineers
2. Define and monitor the objectives and KPIs of the team
3. Mentor the team to excel in Quality Management and Reliability Engineering practices

Quality Management Systems

1. Spearheading and sustain ISO 9001 compliance across the organization
2. Drive IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 compliance
3. High standards in process maturity, enforcement and documentation
4. Perform periodic internal process audits

Essential Technical Skills (Must have):

1. Knowledgeable in ISO 9001, IATF 16949
2. Knowledge on 7QC tools
