The role

Own the entire design function for every Planck Power plant — PM-KUSUM, Group Captive, C&I; rooftop and BESS-integrated systems. Depth in electrical, working competence in civil and structural. Accountable for the full lifecycle: design draft → approval → as-built, and for the document control that keeps approvals clean.

Electrical design (primary depth)

- DC and AC system design with supporting calculations — string sizing, cable sizing, voltage drop, losses, protection coordination.
- Single Line Diagrams, DC and AC.
- Inverter, transformer and switchgear selection and specification.
- Module cleaning system design.
- Application of electrical codes, grid standards and design safety practice across every deliverable.

Simulation & yield

PVsyst modelling; shading and inter-row analysis; loss-factor validation against design assumptions.

Civil & structural (working depth)

- Foundation design and drawings; MMS structural review in STAAD Pro.
- Coordination of civil drawings with electrical routing and plant layout,



jointly with the Site Engineering Manager.

Drawings, BOM & documentation

- Complete installation drawing set — civil, structural, electrical AC/DC, layout.
- Detailed Bill of Materials for full plant installation.
- Own the Master Document List and drawing register; drive every submission to fully approved status.
- Control the draft → approval → as-built progression with disciplined versioning.

Approvals & energisation

- CEIG submissions, query response and inspection attendance through to charging permission.
- Utility and evacuation interface — RRVPNL / AVVNL / SLDC connectivity applications and technical comments; working understanding of transmission line systems.
- Design support through pre-commissioning and grid synchronisation; verify and sign off As-Built drawings.

Requirements

- BE / B.Tech, Electrical preferred.
- Minimum 5 years in solar plant design, with plants commissioned against your drawings.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, PVsyst, STAAD Pro, Excel.
- Sound command of electrical fundamentals and applicable IS / IEC standards.
- Working knowledge of BESS integration is an advantage.
- Documentation discipline — nothing leaves unchecked.

CTC ₹60,000–80,000 per month, as per experience · Regular site travel
