Company Description GG Wastech Pvt. Ltd. is a leading waste management start-up based in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, founded in February 2021 with a focus on sustainable waste disposal and pan-India logistics. The company delivers integrated solutions that support a circular economy through services such as AFR (Alternative Fuel Resources) supply, biomining of legacy waste, EPR execution, and construction of SLFs and LTPs.

Role Description The Landfill Engineer (full time, on-site) will be based in Raipur and will oversee the planning, design, and operation of sanitary landfills and related waste management facilities.

Responsibilities include conducting site assessments, preparing engineering drawings and technical specifications, and ensuring that landfill cells, liners, leachate collection systems, and drainage structures are designed and constructed in line with regulatory and environmental standards. The role involves monitoring landfill performance, managing daily operations such as waste placement, compaction, and cover application, and coordinating with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to maintain safety and efficiency.

The Landfill

Engineer will prepare reports, maintain documentation for compliance, assist with biomining and SLF projects, and support optimization initiatives that reduce environmental impact and improve resource recovery.



The position may also require field inspections, data analysis, and participation in client and regulatory meetings.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in civil or environmental engineering, particularly in landfill design, solid waste management, and geotechnical principles.

Experience with engineering drawings, CAD tools, and basic modeling or analysis software used for landfill and infrastructure projects.

Knowledge of relevant environmental regulations, standards, and guidelines governing waste disposal, landfill operation, and pollution control.

Ability to conduct site surveys, interpret technical data, prepare reports, and maintain accurate project documentation.

Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, external partners, and regulatory authorities.

Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project timelines on-site.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.

Prior experience in landfill engineering, waste management, or infrastructure projects is preferred; familiarity with biomining and SLF construction is a plus
