Job Summary

Pump Academy Private Limited is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Junior IT Support Engineer to join the Information Technology team. This role is ideal for candidates looking to build a career in IT Infrastructure, Networking, End-User Support, and Cybersecurity.

The selected candidate will work closely with the IT team to provide day-to-day technical support, maintain IT assets, assist with infrastructure activities, and support organizational IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

End User Support

- Provide first-level technical support to employees.
- Install, configure and troubleshoot desktops, laptops and workstations.
- Install and configure Windows operating systems.
- Support Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Configure printers, scanners and other peripherals.
- Assist users with password resets and account-related issues.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems.

IT Asset Management

- Assist in maintaining the IT asset inventory.
- Tag and record new IT assets.
- Update asset allocation and movement records.
- Verify asset details during audits.
- Support IT asset lifecycle activities.

Microsoft 365 Support

- Assist users with:

- Outlook

- Teams

- OneDrive

- SharePoint (basic)
- Support email configuration.
- Assist with user account creation and deactivation.

Basic Network Support

- Assist in troubleshooting:

- Internet connectivity
- LAN and Wi-Fi issues

- Network printers

- Switch connectivity
- Escalate complex networking issues to senior engineers.

Hardware Support

- Assemble and configure desktop systems.
- Replace RAM, SSDs and other hardware components.
- Perform preventive maintenance of IT equipment.
- Coordinate repairs under warranty.

IT Operations





- Support onboarding and offboarding activities.
- Prepare laptops for new employees.
- Install approved software packages.
- Assist in conference room setup for meetings.
- Support audio/video equipment when required.

Documentation

- Maintain IT support records.
- Update knowledge base documents.
- Record incident resolutions.
- Maintain installation and configuration documentation.

Security & Compliance

- Follow company IT Security policies.
- Report security incidents immediately.
- Assist in endpoint security activities.
- Support IT audits by maintaining documentation and records.
- Ensure IT assets comply with organizational standards.

Required Technical Skills

Basic knowledge of

- Windows 10 / Windows 11
- Microsoft Office
- Microsoft 365
- Computer hardware troubleshooting
- Printer configuration
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Wi-Fi troubleshooting
- Antivirus software
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity best practices

Educational Qualification

- Diploma in Computer Engineering / Information Technology
- BCA

- Fresher or up to 1 year of IT Support experience.
- Internship experience in IT Support will be considered.
