We are seeking a Java Production Support professional to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in supporting Java applications in production environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain Java-based applications in production environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth deployment of new features and fixes.
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement preventive measures.
- Create and maintain documentation for support processes and procedures.
- Provide on-call support as needed and participate in after-hours maintenance activities.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong experience in Java programming and related technologies.
- Proficiency in database management with SQL and experience in Oracle or MySQL.
- Familiarity with application servers such as Tomcat, JBoss, or WebSphere.
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git or SVN.
- Experience with monitoring tools and debugging techniques.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Valuable communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
