IT Trainer - Clinical SAS

Location: Remote Department: Training / Learning & Development Employment Type: Part-Time

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced and passionate Clinical SAS Trainer to deliver comprehensive training programs for students, professionals, and corporate clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and clinical research domains. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Clinical SAS programming, CDISC standards, clinical trial data analysis, and regulatory reporting, along with excellent communication and presentation skills. The trainer will deliver practical, industry-focused training through real-time projects, case studies, and hands-on exercises.

Key Responsibilities Deliver instructor-led online, classroom, and corporate training sessions on Clinical SAS.

Design, develop, and regularly update training materials, presentations, assignments, and hands-on lab exercises.

Train learners on: Base SAS Programming

Advanced SAS Programming

PROC SQL

SAS Macros

Clinical Trial Data Management

CDISC Standards (SDTM, ADaM)

Clinical Data Validation

TLF (Tables, Listings, and Figures) Generation

Data Cleaning and Data Review

SAS Enterprise Guide

SAS Studio

Clinical Reporting and Regulatory Submission Concepts

Conduct practical sessions using real-world clinical trial datasets and pharmaceutical industry case studies.

Guide learners through end-to-end Clinical SAS projects.

Assess learners through quizzes, assignments, coding exercises, and mock interviews.

Provide mentoring, career guidance, and interview preparation for Clinical SAS roles.

Stay updated with the latest Clinical SAS technologies, CDISC guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with the training team to continuously improve course content and learner outcomes.





Required Technical Skills

Strong expertise in Clinical SAS Programming.

Hands-on experience with: Base SAS

Advanced SAS

PROC SQL

SAS Macros

CDISC (SDTM & ADaM)

TLF Generation

SAS Enterprise Guide

SAS Studio

Good understanding of clinical trial processes and regulatory requirements.

Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.

Understanding of GCP (Good Clinical Practice) and clinical research concepts.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Statistics, or a related field.

SAS Certification or Clinical SAS Certification is preferred.

Experience 2-5 years of experience in Clinical SAS programming and/or technical training.

Prior experience as a Clinical SAS Trainer is preferred.

Experience in pharmaceutical, CRO, or clinical research organizations is an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications SAS Certified Base Programmer and/or SAS Certified Advanced Programmer.
