Swades AI provides an opportunity to work in a fast-evolving environment at the intersection of research and applied innovation. Role Description

This is a full-time, hands-on role that operates our security and IT stack every day — so credential-sharing, unmanaged devices, and messy access stop being a risk as we scale. You'll own the day-to-day, not just write policy. What you'll own:

Identity & access — Create and manage individual accounts (no shared logins, ever), enforce MFA org-wide, and run the password manager with role-based vault access. Own same-day onboarding (least-privilege access) and offboarding (all access killed within the hour).



Maintain the access register and run monthly access reviews.

Devices — Enroll every work device in MDM; enforce disk encryption, screen lock, OS patching, and remote wipe. Block unenrolled devices from company systems, and ensure production and sensitive data lives only on managed devices.

Vigilance — Configure and watch billing/usage alerts on every vendor (geo-limits, spend caps, API usage). Manage scoped API keys and secrets, rotating them on schedule and on every departure. Reconcile card charges against the vendor list monthly.

First 90 days: every person on an individual account with MFA and shared logins gone; all devices enrolled in MDM and policy-compliant; onboarding/offboarding runbook executed cleanly on a real joiner and leaver; access register complete and reconciled; billing alerts live on every vendor. You'll know it's working when a departing team member loses all access the same day, no password is ever shared in chat, and no vendor charge is a surprise.

Scope: you execute the security and IT plan day-to-day. This isn't a strategic security architect role yet — that comes as we scale toward formal compliance (e.g. SOC 2).
