Key Responsibilities:

- Assign accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS codes and DRG classifications for inpatient medical records.
- Ensure coding compliance with CMS, UHDDS, and payer-specific guidelines.
- Review and interpret physician documentation to support accurate code assignment.
- Optimize reimbursement while maintaining coding accuracy and minimizing denials.
- Perform audits and quality checks to ensure 99% coding accuracy.
- Stay updated with regulatory changes, coding updates, and best practices.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers for proper documentation improvement (CDI).
- Work with revenue cycle teams to resolve claim denials related to coding errors.

Requirements:

- Certification: CPC, CCS, or CIC (AAPC/AHIMA certified coders preferred).
- Experience: 1+ year in IP DRG medical coding.
- Skills: Solid knowledge of MS-DRG, APR-DRG, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency: Experience with EHR systems and medical coding software.
- Shift: Flexible (Night shifts may apply based on project requirements).
