NJob Summary:
NThe Interior Designer - FF&E; supports the design and specifications of Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment across luxury and contract interior projects. Working under the Head of FF&E;, the role involves selecting and specifying FF&E; items, developing material schemes, preparing documentation, and coordinating with vendors to ensure design intent, quality, and budget alignment from concept to installation.
NKey Responsibilities:
NDesign Development and Selection:

- Assist in the development of FF&E; concepts that align with overall interior design direction.
N
- Select furniture, lighting, accessories, window treatments, rugs, bedding, and artwork.
N
- Develop FF&E; mood boards, color palettes, and material schemes.
N
- Prepare and present sample boards including materials finishes and fabrics.
N
nDocumentation and Specification:
N
n
- Produce detailed FF&E; specification sheets using standard templates.
N
- Prepare comprehensive schedules and documentation packages.
N
- Maintain and update FF&E; documentation.
N
- Ensure FF&E; selections meet quality, durability, and functional standards for the intended use.
N
nLayout Planning:
N

- Collaborate with interior designers to develop and refine FF&E; layout plans that align with the overall spatial and design intent.

- Assist in space planning for furniture placement, circulation, and functional zoning across different project types.
N
- Use CAD or BIM softwareto prepare and update FF&E; layout drawings and support documentation.

nProject Coordination:

- Collaborate with interior designers during all design phases.
N
- Coordinate FF&E; layoutsand specifications with MEP drawings and requirements.
N
- Assist in preparing BOQs and budgetary estimates for FF&E; items.
N
- Support procurement processes by gathering product information, sourcing samples, and tracking vendor lead times.
N
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and fabricators to ensure timely deliveries and compliance with specifications.

nFollow-Up on Site Queries:

- Coordinate with the quality and site teams to address FF&E-related; queries during tendering, production and installation phases.
N
- Review shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with design intent and specifications.
N
- Assist in resolving anydesign-related issues that arise during installation, ensuring alignment with project standards.
N
- Document any design changes or adjustments required during installation and update FF&E; records accordingly.
N
nVendor and ProductResearch:
N

- Conduct ongoing research on materials, finishes, and product innovations.
N
- Maintain and organize acomprehensive library of product samples, vendor catalogues, and supplier contacts.
N
- Develop and update the FF&E; database with detailed records of approved products and materials.

nTeam Support and Development:
N

- Work collaboratively with the Head of FF&E; to support departmental goals.
N
- Participate in internaltraining sessions and workshops to grow FF&E; knowledge and skills.

- Contribute to design reviews and critique sessions within the FF&E; team.

nTechnology Integration:

- Utilize FF&E; specification tools and platforms to create and manage detailed product documentation.

- Work within BIM environments to ensure accurate coordination between FF&E; elements and architectural/interior layouts.

- Use visualization toolsto develop client presentations and material boards.

- Maintain organized digital records of specifications, samples, vendor contacts, and project documentation.

nEssential Job Requirement:

- Bachelor's degreein Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture.
N
- 3–8 years of experiencein FF&E; design, preferably in luxury or contract interior design projects.
N
- Proficient in FF&E; documentation, specifications, and sourcing.
N
- Knowledge of FF&E; cost estimation and basic budget management is a plus.
N
- Strong understanding offurniture construction, finishes, and manufacturing processes.
N
- Experience with international vendors and sourcing across global markets.
N
- Familiarity with sustainable FF&E; materials and green design principles.
N
- Visualization and rendering skills for client presentations (Photoshop, InDesign, SketchUp, or similar).
N
- Proficiency in softwaresuch as AutoCAD, Revit (BIM integration preferred), Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, and FF&E; specification platforms.

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
