About the Role

Shriram Insurance and Brokers are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager – General Insurance to drive business growth across industrial and commercial segments. The ideal candidate should have a robust background in General Insurance, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to develop long-term relationships with corporate and industrial clients while achieving business targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and expand the General Insurance business across industrial, commercial, and corporate sectors.
- Generate new business by visiting industrial areas, manufacturing units, factories, and commercial establishments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, corporate houses, and channel partners.
- Promote and sell General Insurance products, including:

- Fire Insurance

- Marine Insurance

- Engineering Insurance

- Machinery Breakdown Insurance

- Liability Insurance

- Group Health Insurance

- Commercial Vehicle Insurance

- Property Insurance

- Other General Insurance products
- Coordinate with insurance companies for quotations, policy issuance, renewals, endorsements, and claims support.
- Achieve assigned monthly and annual business targets.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the company's market presence.
- Ensure high standards of customer service and timely policy servicing.
- Prepare business reports, maintain client records, and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Represent the company professionally during client meetings, presentations,



and business negotiations.

Eligibility Criteria

- Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in General Insurance.
- Hands-on experience in industrial and commercial insurance business is mandatory.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of General Insurance products and market practices.
- Ability to independently manage business development and client relationships.
- Proficiency in MS Office and business reporting tools.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Proven experience in business development within the General Insurance industry.
- Existing network with industrial clients, factories, MSMEs, and corporate organisations will be an added advantage.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Target-oriented with a customer-centric approach.
- Willingness to travel across Raipur and nearby industrial areas for business development.
