Purpose of the Role To lead and manage the Human Resources and Administration functions of the organization, ensuring effective manpower planning, talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, statutory compliance, administration, employee welfare, and organizational development. The role is responsible for building a productive, disciplined, compliant, and employee-centric work environment that supports business growth and operational excellence.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. HR Strategy and Workforce Planning

- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Partner with Management and Department Heads to understand workforce requirements.
- Develop manpower plans and succession plans for critical positions.
- Monitor workforce productivity, utilization, and organizational effectiveness.
- Support organizational growth initiatives through effective people management practices.

2. Talent Acquisition and Onboarding

- Lead recruitment activities for shop-floor, supervisory, managerial, and specialist positions.
- Develop recruitment strategies to ensure timely closure of vacancies.
- Oversee candidate sourcing, interviews, selection, reference verification, and onboarding.
- Ensure structured induction programs covering:
- Company policies
- Safety procedures
- Quality requirements
- Code of conduct
- Monitor recruitment effectiveness and hiring quality.

3. Performance Management System

- Design, implement, and continuously improve:
- Job Descriptions
- KRAs
- KPIs
- Competency frameworks
- Performance appraisal systems
- Coordinate annual and periodic performance reviews.
- Guide Department Heads in objective setting and performance evaluation.




- Present performance review outcomes and recommendations to Management.
- Support development and implementation of performance improvement plans.

4. Employee Relations and Industrial Relations

- Foster positive employee relations across staff and workmen categories.
- Act as the primary escalation point for employee grievances and workplace disputes.
- Lead conflict resolution and disciplinary processes.
- Conduct investigations into misconduct, complaints, and policy violations.
- Promote a culture of discipline, fairness, accountability, and mutual respect.
- Maintain healthy industrial relations and support workforce stability.

5. Learning, Development and Skill Enhancement

- Develop annual training and development plans.
- Maintain and monitor departmental skill matrices.
- Identify competency gaps and training needs.
- Coordinate technical, behavioural, safety, and leadership development programs.
- Promote multi-skilling and succession development initiatives.

6. HR Operations Oversight

- Supervise and review:
- Attendance management
- Leave administration
- Payroll processing
- Employee benefits administration
- Full & final settlements
- Employee records management
- Ensure HR transactions are processed accurately and within agreed timelines.
- Review HR controls and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Statutory Compliance and Labour Law Governance

- Ensure compliance with:
- Factories Act
- Industrial Relations Code
- PF
- ESI
- Professional Tax
- Labour Welfare Fund
- Gratuity Act
- Other applicable labour laws
- Oversee statutory filings, audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
- Maintain compliance dashboards and ensure timely corrective actions.

8. Administration and Facility Management Oversight

- Supervise administrative operations including:
- Facility management
- Employee welfare facilities
- Uniform administration
- Safety-related administration
- License and permit renewals
- Vendor coordination
- Ensure company infrastructure and employee facilities are maintained effectively.

9. HR Analytics and Management Reporting

- Develop HR dashboards and management reports covering:
- Headcount
- Attrition
- Recruitment
- Attendance
- Productivity
- Training
- Skill matrix coverage
- Employee grievances
- Compliance status
- Analyze trends and recommend corrective actions.

10. Policy Development and Organizational Improvement

- Develop and periodically review HR policies, procedures, and SOPs.
- Ensure policies are practical, legally compliant, and effectively communicated.
- Lead HR automation and process improvement initiatives.
- Drive employee engagement and organizational development programs.

General Responsibilities

- Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.
- Promote ethical practices and qualified conduct.
- Support Management in strategic workforce and organizational decisions.
- Ensure HR and Administration functions contribute positively to business performance.
