Role Description The Housekeeping Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in our upcoming unit Hotel ZANA - Dehradun, responsible for overseeing the cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance standards of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. The role includes planning daily housekeeping operations, assigning tasks, supervising room attendants and laundry staff, and ensuring that all areas meet brand and safety standards.
The Housekeeping
Manager will monitor inventory and usage of cleaning supplies and linens, coordinate with maintenance for repairs, and implement quality checks and standard operating procedures.
The role also involves training and mentoring team members, assisting in hiring and scheduling, and collaborating with front office and other departments to respond promptly to guest requests and feedback.
The Housekeeping
Manager is expected to maintain detailed records, support cost control initiatives, and uphold consistent service standards that enhance guest satisfaction. Qualifications
Candidates should possess solid supervisory skills to lead housekeeping and laundry teams, manage schedules, and ensure adherence to standards.
Candidates should possess hands-on knowledge of housekeeping operations and laundry processes, including cleaning techniques, linen management, and equipment handling.
Candidates should possess excellent customer service and communication skills to interact professionally with guests and coordinate effectively with internal teams.
Candidates should possess experience in hiring, onboarding, and training housekeeping staff, with the ability to build engaged, high-performing teams.
Prior experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager in hotels or resorts is highly preferred, especially in upscale or leisure properties.
Understanding of safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards, as well as basic inventory and cost-control practices, is required.
Relevant diploma or degree in Hotel Management or a related field is beneficial; equivalent experience will also be considered.
Ability to work flexible hours, demonstrate attention to detail, and adapt to a fast-paced hospitality environment is essential.
