NJob Purpose:
NAssistant Engineer is responsible for planning, executing and controlling heat treatment operations to ensure consistent product quality, resource efficiency and full compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.
NKey Responsibilities:

- Manage shift production schedules for heat treatment operations.
N
- Supervise shift manpower to ensure adherence to defined heat treatment cycles and process parameters.
N
- Coordinate with production and quality teams for smooth execution and compliance with standards.
N
- Review and ensure heat treatment cycles meet customer specifications and industry requirements.
N
- Operate and oversee muffle furnaces for trials and inspection samples.
N
- Ensure calibration and proper functioning of thermocouples,
pyrometers and furnace controllers.
N
- Prepare and maintain shift documentation, heat treatment charts and audit records.
N
- Carry out SAP activities for material transfer, production tracking and reporting.
N
- Support audits, evaluate heat treatment non-conformities and ensure timely corrective actions and process improvements.
N
NExperience: 5-7 years of relevant experience in Heat Treatment in Steel Mill / Open Die Forging Industry
NTechnical Expertise:
N
n
- Heat treatment ofalloy steels, heat-resisting steels, high-speed steels, tool & die steels, stainless steels, iron & nickel-based superalloys.

- Operation and control of batch-type furnaces with capacities of 10 MT or more.

nKey Skills & Competencies:
NGood knowledge of heat treatment processes, metallurgy and furnace operations.
NAbility to plan, scheduleand execute heat treatment operations effectively.
NExperience in managing resources, consumables and shift manpower.
NFamiliarity with customeraudits, third-party inspections and compliance requirements.
NSkilled in preparing, maintaining and auditing documentation.
NProficiency in SAP for material tracking and production.
NStrong teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills.
