Job DescriptionROLE PURPOSE

NTo lead and manage plant production operations for spice and botanical extract manufacturing, ensuring optimal yield, quality compliance, safety, and cost efficiency while meeting production targets and delivery timelines.

NKEY RESPONSIBILITIES

nProduction Operations

N- Plan, organize and monitor daily and monthly production schedules

N- Ensure achievement of production targets with optimum utilization of manpower and machinery - Oversee end-to-end extraction operations including raw material processing to finished product

N- Monitor process parameters and troubleshoot operational deviations

NProcess Optimization & Continuous Improvement

N- Drive yield improvementand productivity enhancement initiatives

N- Implement process improvements to reduce waste and increase efficiency

N- Lead initiatives for lead time reduction and capacity enhancement

N- Implement Lean/continuous improvement practices

NTechnical & Utility Management

N- Supervise turmeric and spice extraction processes

N- Manage distillation andsolvent recovery systems

N- Ensure effective functioning of utilities and effluent treatment systems

N- Optimize solvent usage and minimize losses

NQuality & Food Safety Compliance

N- Ensure adherence to Food Safety and Quality Management Systems





N- Maintain process consistency and product specifications

N- Coordinate with QA/QC for in-process and finished product compliance

N- Support audits and regulatory inspections

NCost & Resource Management

N- Control production costand improve cost efficiency

N- Optimize raw material usage and reduce rework/rejection

N- Monitor consumption of chemicals, solvents, utilities and manpower

NSafety & Environmental Compliance

N- Ensure compliance with plant safety standards and statutory regulations

N- Implement safe operating procedures and risk control measures

N- Oversee effluent treatment and environmental compliance

NPlanning & Coordination

N- Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, quality and warehouse teams

N- Ensure raw material availability and production continuity

N- Monitor production MIS and reporting

NTeam Leadership

n- Lead and develop production team and supervisors

N- Provide training and performance guidance

N- Foster a culture of safety, discipline and continuous improvement

NQualification & Experience

N- B.Tech – Chemical Engineering

N- 15 - 20 years of manufacturing experience

N- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role

N- Experience in spice / turmeric extraction industry preferred
