Role Description The Head of Operations at THE SM RECORDS is a part-time, remote role responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational activities and ensuring smooth delivery of music distribution and digital rights services. This role manages operational processes across departments, coordinates workflows, and implements best practices to improve efficiency, quality, and reliability.

The Head of Operations will collaborate with leadership on resource planning, budgeting, and performance tracking, while supporting teams with clear communication, guidance, and problem-solving.





Responsibilities include monitoring key operational metrics, optimizing systems and tools, managing vendor and partner relationships, and contributing to strategic initiatives that enhance service delivery and client satisfaction in the global music ecosystem.

Qualifications

- Strong Operations Management skills, including process optimization, workflow design, and implementation of scalable systems.
- Advanced Analytical Skills for interpreting operational data, tracking performance metrics, and supporting data-driven decision-making.
- Proven Team Management capabilities to lead, mentor, and coordinate remote cross-functional teams.
- Excellent Communication skills for collaborating with internal stakeholders, external partners, and clients across diverse regions.
- Experience with Budgeting, resource allocation, and cost control to support sustainable operational growth.
- Background in music, media, or digital distribution industries is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, prioritize multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are an advantage.
- Proficiency with digital tools and platforms used for project management, analytics, and reporting.
