2. Role Purpose The Head of Linde Storage Solutions will lead the strategic development, commercial growth, product portfolio evolution and cross-functional execution governance of Linde Storage Solutions. The role is responsible for shaping the long-term product roadmap, strengthening customer acquisition in the storage industry, guiding proposal and execution concepts, improving product competitiveness, and ensuring disciplined delivery performance across quality, schedule and budget.

The position acts as a bridge between market needs, product strategy, engineering excellence and execution readiness across Pullach and Vadodara teams.

3. Scope of the Role

- Own and continuously evolve the product portfolio and roadmap for Linde Storage Solutions in alignment with global business objectives, regional needs and industry trends.
- Drive commercial growth and customer acquisition in the storage industry through structured business development, customer engagement and industry presence.
- Coordinate and guide BD & Sales, Engineering, Execution, Procurement and Construction activities across Pullach and Vadodara to ensure integrated delivery outcomes.
- Shape proposals, execution and product concepts to improve competitiveness, reduce cost, enhance quality and support sustainable growth.
- Monitor proposal opportunities and project status and provide regular management reporting with focus on quality, schedule and budget.
- Drive product quality and performance improvement through KPIs, operational feedback and structured lessons-learned processes.
- Mentor small cross-functional teams and foster a transparent, performance-oriented, innovative and globally connected culture.

4. Key Responsibilities

4.1 Strategic Product Portfolio & Roadmap Leadership

- Define, maintain and evolve the long-term Linde Storage Solutions portfolio strategy and product roadmap.
- Translate global business objectives, regional customer needs and industry trends into clear product priorities and execution roadmaps.
- Identify portfolio gaps, competitiveness levels and future growth opportunities in the storage industry.
- Ensure roadmap decisions are supported by market insight, engineering feasibility, cost competitiveness and operational capability.

4.2 Business Development & Customer Acquisition

- Drive customer acquisition and business development for storage solutions through proactive engagement with customers, prospects and strategic stakeholders.
- Represent Linde Storage Solutions in relevant exhibitions, conferences, customer forums and networking platforms.
- Support development of market positioning, value propositions and opportunity qualification criteria.




- Work with BD & Sales teams to convert market opportunities into qualified proposal pipelines.

4.3 Proposal and Concept Leadership

- Challenge and improve proposal concepts to strengthen competitiveness, technical differentiation, cost position and customer value.
- Guide cross-functional teams in developing robust proposal strategies, execution assumptions, risk positions and delivery commitments.
- Ensure proposal opportunities are reviewed regularly and reported to management with clarity on scope, risk, quality, schedule and budget implications.
- Promote disciplined proposal governance and lessons learned transfer into future opportunities.

4.4 Execution Governance & Cross-Functional Coordination

- Coordinate activities across BD & Sales, Engineering, Execution, Procurement and Construction teams in Pullach and Vadodara.
- Provide guidance to resolve cross-functional issues affecting delivery quality, schedule, budget, productivity or customer satisfaction.
- Ensure timely management visibility on project status, delivery risks, corrective actions and escalation needs.
- Strengthen collaboration between globally distributed teams and ensure clear ownership across interfaces.

4.5 Product Quality, Performance & Continuous Improvement

- Define and track relevant KPIs for product quality, performance, execution feedback and operational improvement.
- Use structured lessons-learned processes to improve product concepts, execution models and proposal quality.
- Identify cost-reduction, standardization, value engineering and productivity opportunities without compromising safety, quality or compliance.
- Promote feedback loops from execution, operations and customer experience into continuous product improvement.

4.6 People Leadership & Culture

- Mentor and support small cross-functional teams, encouraging innovation and ownership.
- Foster a transparent, performance-oriented, collaborative and globally connected culture.
- Encourage knowledge sharing between Pullach and Vadodara teams and support capability development in the storage solutions domain.

6. Qualifications, Experience and Skills

6.1 Education / Technical Background

- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or comparable technical qualification.
- Additional education in business management, commercial management, product management or project management would be advantageous.

6.2 Professional Experience

- 20 plus years of strong strategic leadership experience supported by solid engineering, technical and commercial background.
- Experience in business development, product portfolio management, proposal leadership, engineering/project execution or related industrial technology environments.
- Exposure to EPC, engineering, industrial gases, storage solutions, process plants, energy transition or adjacent industrial project environments would be beneficial.
- Experience working in international, cross-functional and matrix organizations with distributed teams.
