Role Description The Head of Engineering is a full-time, in office role based in the Pune Division, responsible for leading the engineering organization and delivering high-quality software solutions. This role oversees end-to-end engineering activities, including architectural decisions, technical strategy, and implementation across products and client projects.

The Head of Engineering collaborates closely with product, design, data, and operations teams to translate business objectives into robust, scalable technology solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing and mentoring engineering teams, establishing best practices, ensuring timely project delivery, and continuously improving performance, security, and reliability.



The role also involves stakeholder communication, resource planning, and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in Team Management and Team Leadership, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management for diverse engineering teams.
- Strong Engineering Management background, with proven ability to define technical strategy, oversee architecture, and implement development standards.
- Solid Project Management skills, including planning, prioritization, risk management, and delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Hands-on experience in Software Development, preferably with modern web, cloud, and distributed systems technologies.
- Experience building scalable, secure, and high-performance systems in a product or services organization.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
- Background in AI, data analytics, or cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Track record of establishing engineering processes, CI/CD pipelines, code quality standards, and documentation practices.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment, making informed decisions, and driving continuous improvement.
