About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Group Accountant to join our Shared Services Finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in manufacturing accounting, inventory and COGS accounting, intercompany transactions, multi-currency accounting, and UAE VAT compliance. This role will support group finance operations across multiple entities while ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end accounting for multiple group entities.
- Handle inventory accounting, inventory reconciliation, and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) accounting within a manufacturing environment.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliations, eliminations, and settlements.
- Maintain accounting records involving multiple currencies and foreign exchange adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, including VAT return preparation, reconciliation, and documentation.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, provisions, and fixed asset accounting.
- Coordinate with auditors and support statutory and internal audit requirements.
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and internal control enhancements.
- Collaborate with finance teams across different business units to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Required Skills & Experience
- 8–10 years of relevant accounting experience.




- Strong hands-on experience in inventory accounting and COGS accounting within a manufacturing business.
- Proven experience in intercompany accounting and multi-currency accounting.
- Hands-on experience with UAE VAT compliance and reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Lookups, Financial Analysis, Reporting).
- Strong ERP experience; Zoho Books and Zoho Inventory experience will be highly preferred.
- Excellent understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced shared services environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CA (Qualified or significantly progressed) strongly preferred.
- Experience working in multinational organizations or shared services environments will be an added advantage.
