The Global Voice
India
The Global Voice is an independent geopolitics media house. We report on the forces reshaping the world, including conflict, diplomacy, economy, and power, from an Indian point of view rather than a borrowed one, a perspective largely missing from global coverage that defaults to the West. We are committed to challenging established narratives and questioning convenient truths.
The Global
Voice aims to highlight underrepresented viewpoints and bring forward the side of the story that rarely makes the front page. THE ROLE This is an in-office Graphic Designer role based out of Goa. You will define how The Global Voice looks across every platform it exists on.
Social posts, thumbnails, infographics, newsletter headers, article images, podcast covers, brand assets. You are not decorating content. You are making it more powerful. You will have full creative ownership of the TGV visual identity.
We will give you the brand direction. The design decisions are yours to make and defend.
SALARY: 3.6 LPA
IMMEDIATE JOINING IN GOA WHAT YOU WILL DO Design social media content across Instagram, LinkedIn, and X. Multiple finished assets, daily.
Create article feature images, YouTube thumbnails, and podcast cover art that people actually click
Build infographics and data visualisations that make geopolitical complexity readable and shareable
Own and evolve the TGV design system including colours, typography, layout grids, and component templates
Design newsletter headers, email banners, and all email visual assets
Collaborate with the video editor on motion graphics, title cards, and lower thirds
Use AI design tools like Adobe Firefly, Canva AI, and Midjourney to move faster without compromising quality
Be willing to pick up basic video editing as the team grows WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR A strong portfolio. We want to see editorial design, social content at scale, and brand work. All three.
Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign A clear editorial design sensibility. Your work should look like a news brand, not a lifestyle brand.
The ability to produce multiple polished social assets in a morning without quality dropping
Understanding of what works visually on each platform and designs that reflect that understanding
Willingness to grow into video editing as the work demands it
You can be in Goa immediately WHO WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR Designers who make things that look nice but do not perform
People who need a week to turn around a social post
People who do not understand what editorial design means or why it is different 30 DAYS IN
Every platform, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, the newsletter, has assets that look like they belong to the same brand. You've turned the brand direction into an actual design system, colours, type, grids, templates, and it's documented somewhere other than your head. You're a day or two ahead of the content calendar instead of designing same-day. At least one thumbnail or infographic you've made has already outperformed the rest, and you know what made it work. 60 DAYS IN
You can point to a specific thumbnail or infographic and the numbers it moved, a click rate, a save count, a share. The design system is holding up without you re-explaining it for every current asset. Someone can look at three posts from three different platforms and know they're all TGV without seeing the logo. You're the one flagging new formats to try, not waiting to be asked. Applications without proof of work will not be read.
