Outelier is a current Indian clothing label, pre-launch and building its first collection.

Our garments carry large, detailed embroidered artwork. We need an identity that works alongside that without competing with it, and someone to build it from nothing. The work The logo, wordmark and typography — due within two weeks of starting. The monogram will be embroidered tonally at the hem of every garment we make, so it has to hold at small scale in thread.

The identity system around the mark — layout grammar, colour, and the rules that keep it consistent.

Packaging. Care card, certificate for one-of-one pieces, box.

Website and product page art direction, developed with the founder.

Instagram direction. Process as the content — macro stitchwork, thread palettes, work in progress.

Typesetting for our naming system. Pieces are titled and numbered rather than given SKU codes. What we are looking for

Type-led identity work. We would rather see three restrained systems than thirty logos.

Comfort designing to a physical constraint — thread, print, paper stock, small scale.





Judgment about what to leave out.

Systems thinking. We need rules that still hold after you've moved on, not a set of good-looking artboards.

Years of experience are not a filter here. The portfolio is. Terms of employment

Freelance and project-based, fully remote. Starting immediately. You will need real availability across the two weeks, not evenings around other commitments. Scope, rates and terms discussed on the first call.
