We are seeking a talented and passionate Backend Engineer to join our growing engineering team. As a Backend Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining the core services and APIs that power our [product/service]. You will work on challenging problems, collaborate with a team of skilled engineers, and contribute to building a scalable and reliable platform.

You will be responsible for implementing robust, efficient, and well-tested backend solutions using Go and Node.js, and deploying and maintaining them on AWS. You will also be instrumental in building and maintaining our CI/CD pipelines.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and reliable backend services and APIs using Go and Node.js.
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and implement product features.
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain backend services on AWS.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Participate in on-call rotation (if applicable).
- Contribute to the overall architecture and design of the backend system.
- Stay up to date with the latest technologies and trends in backend development.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to a positive and cooperative team environment.
- Write unit, integration,



and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Work with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB) to design and implement efficient data storage and retrieval solutions.
- Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the health and availability of our services.
- Participate in the design and implementation of new features and services.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Essential:

- 5+ years of relevant experience with bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical discipline
- Expert proficiency in Go and Node.js.
- Extensive experience designing and implementing complex backend systems and APIs.
- Experience with RESTful APIs , SOAP , and other integration technologies like gRPC or GraphQL
- Experience with SQL and No-SQL database technologies - MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Mongo DB, Cosmos DB,DynamoDB
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Github SVN).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Extensive experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS preferred), including serverless architectures.

Desirable:

- Familiarity with security best practices (e.g., encryption, authentication, secure coding).
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
- Ability to work independently and lead technical discussions.
